Our Sutton location, first opened in 2001, has grown into a vital part of the Schell Lumber family. Unlike our Stouffville operations, everything in Sutton is located at one convenient address: 20971 Dalton Road. The site includes a fully stocked main store, a lumber yard, and a compact design centre, and offers installation services.

Our main store houses a strong variety of building and hardware fundamentals best fit for your needs. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff have decades of experience in all of our departments and are eager to help when needed. We also offer a variety of departments such as paint, hardware, plumbing, trim + door, electrical, and more. In consistency with our company values, our Sutton store values customer service first and will always try our hardest to find the right solution for you.
Design & Installation Services
One of our most popular services is custom design. Our design team can help with any aspects of your next project. From building plans to custom orders, our team will help your building dream a reality.
Lumber Yard
Our lumber yard stocks a variety of fundamental building materials necessary for whatever project you may be working on. We offer free delivery to most areas of southern Ontario, or you can pick-up anytime.

Sept. 17, 2026 – Schell Lumber Home Building Centre – Sutton has been named Best Home Building Centre – Central Region at the Proud of My Home Achievement Awards and Celebration. The awards were presented at Home Hardware Stores Limited’s 2026 Homecoming event in Toronto on Sept. 16, 2026.

Our renovated Sutton location is now better than ever. The expansion allows for significantly more lumber storage, expanded retail space, and a brand-new design center, now one of the location’s highlights.
With this completed renovation, our Sutton site is now comparable in size to our Stouffville location, allowing us to support even more customers right here in Sutton.
